Live at Soundtrade Studios, StockholmJay-Jay Johanson

Once voted ”the most beautiful man in the world”, Swedish singer/songwriter Jay-Jay Johanson released his debut album “Whiskey” in August 1996. The album was recorded at Break My Heart Studios, in the Stockholm archipelago. The instant world wide success of this album, characterized by its jazzy vocals over trippy, film noir arrangements, took Jay-Jay out on his first of many world tours.

After working with The Knife on “Silent Shout” and Cocteau Twins Robin Guthrie on numerous albums, Jay-Jay released his new album ”Kings Cross”, April 2019. Jay-Jay Johanson remains as surprising and daring as ever, exchanging the ornate arrangements and ethereal strings of earlier releases for organic noise and twisted sensibilities. Johanson’s melancholic songwriting and orchestral vision are what ultimately makes his music so compelling, filled with structural surprises that make for listening that avoids the predictable.

On August 20th 2020 Jay-Jay will perform live from Soundtrade Studios, Stockholm but at the digital venue Dramatix.tv. All in real time.
